  4. The United Kingdom is a big place, with millions of 
  5. citizens, and they are represented at Parliament by a very 
  6. small group of people. So it's not surprising that the 
  7. Parliamentary day runs to a very strict timetable - and 
  8. that a lot of the work has to be done away from the 
  9. Chamber. Remember - MPs aren't just responsible for 
  10. supporting their parties in debates, or helping to pass new 
  11. legislation. They also have to find time to look after the 
  12. interests of their constituents.
